Bow-tie pastries

We love the look of bow-ties! When it comes to dessert it is super easy. A custard cream sandwiched between a bow-tied pastry dough is both cute and simple. Just cut out rectangles of pastry dough, wrap a tiny strip of pastry dough around the center to cinch it in, and add ribbon- shaped ends. Bake, slice in in half and fill with cream. It is essentially a bow-tie cream puff. We like ours covered in dark chocolate. Our mom loves to cover with powdered sugar. To each his/her own, I guess.
